Hire & Train Employees
Several programs are in place in the Stanislaus River Valley to help businesses significantly reduce the cost of hiring and training employees. Resources are also available to screen, interview and identify the most qualified workers. Cost-cutting programs, hiring services and training programs offered through the Alliance Worknet are just a few of the services offered to business.
- Companies may be reimbursed for up to 50% of new employees' wages during their training period when they participate in the On-the-Job Training Program.
- The State of California 's Employment Training Panel (ETP) reimburses employers for the costs of customized training provided to new or existing employees.
- Businesses may qualify for a federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) or Welfare-to-Work Tax Credit of up to $2,400 for each new employee who is a qualified member of a target group
